Required Skills and Experience:

6 to10 years MS SQL Server Administration experience required to provide 24x7 support for critical production systems. Candidate should be able to lead the team through critical issues and should be able to act as point of contact for all MS SQL related issues. Below are key skill requirement for the job.

• SQL Server 2008/2012/2014/2016/2017, Configuration and Administration

• Responsible for all functions associated with maintenance of SQL Server databases including security, back-up, reporting and recovery procedures

• Should have proficiency in SQL Server 2008/2012/2014/2016/2017 optimization and fine-tuning

• Good understanding of SQL ALWAYS-ON high availability environment

• Manage and troubleshoot the L3/L4 tasks independently and lead team through Critical issues.

• Setup and Configuration of High availability concepts like Replication, Mirroring and log shipping

• Responsible for improvement and maintenance of the databases to include rollout and upgrades

• Responsible for implementation and release of database changes to different environments

• Should have a thorough knowledge of data security

• Able to Automate repetitive tasks using T-SQL/PowerShell or any other scripting language.

• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly data maintenance tasks

• Backup & recovery management.

• Good hands on Problem/Change management exposure from DBA support side.

• Capacity Planning

• Security management

• Flexible, team player

• MCTS, MCITP, and/or MVP certifications.
